At Guly, accessible from our website and our mobile application (hereinafter, "the App"), one of our main priorities is the privacy and security of data of the families who trust us. This Privacy Policy describes the type of information we collect, how we treat it, and the strict security measures we implement to protect it in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data Controller

  • Main Purpose: Provide a secure collaborative ecosystem for the organization of the family home.

2. Data We Collect and Purpose

We collect the information strictly necessary for the App to function optimally and collaboratively:

  • Account Data: Name, email address, and encrypted passwords to create your user profile and connect members of your family group.
  • Family Organization Data: Information you voluntarily enter into the shared calendar, collaborative shopping lists, household chore distributions, and shared expense logs.
  • Secure Vault Files: Identification documents (ID, passports), medical insurance, or medical prescriptions that you upload to your personal vault to keep them handy.

3. Special Features and Device Permissions

Guly implements advanced functions that require device permissions, designed under the principle of privacy by default:

A. Camera Permission and Barcode Scanning

Access to your device's camera is requested only when using the Pantry Scanner function. The processing of images to read barcodes is performed 100% locally on your device. Guly does not take background photos, record videos, or transmit images over the network; it only decodes the barcode numbers to add the product to your shopping list quickly.

B. Biometric Authentication (Fingerprint and Facial Recognition)

To protect your most sensitive documents in the Secure Vault, the App allows unlocking by fingerprint or facial recognition (such as Face ID or Touch ID on iOS, and BiometricPrompt on Android). It is important to emphasize that Guly never has access to your facial features, fingerprints, or your actual biometric data. Authentication is carried out in isolation by the secure processor of your phone (Secure Enclave or TrustZone). Your terminal's operating system only returns a yes or no result to Guly regarding the match.

C. Secure Transfers and Cloud Encryption

All communication between your mobile device and our cloud servers is carried out through communication channels protected by secure encryption protocols HTTPS / SSL / TLS 1.3. In addition, the information and documents stored on our servers are encrypted with military-grade algorithms (AES-256) at rest, ensuring that no one outside the authorized family circle can access the files.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We will retain your personal data only as long as your family account is active. When you decide to unsubscribe from the service:

  • You can request the complete deletion of your family account from the App settings, through our account deletion request page, or by sending an email to info@apercloud.es.
  • All information entered, including calendars, expense records, notes, and all Secure Vault files, will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our database servers within a maximum period of 30 days.

5. User Rights (ARCO+)

As a user residing in the European Union, you have a series of rights guaranteed by the GDPR. You can exercise them free of charge by writing to info@apercloud.es providing a copy of your identity document to prove your ownership:

  • Right of Access: Know what personal data we process about you and your family.
  • Right of Rectification: Modify any inaccurate or incomplete data in your profile.
  • Right of Deletion (Oblivion): Request the full deletion of your information and documents.
  • Right of Portability: Receive your data in a structured and commonly used format.
  • Right of Opposition and Limitation: Oppose processing or request that we temporarily pause the processing of your data under specific circumstances.

6. Data Recipients

Guly does not sell, rent, commercialize, or share your personal or family data with third-party advertising companies under any circumstances. The only recipients of the data are our secure cloud infrastructure providers (acting as data processors under strict confidentiality agreements with servers located within the European Economic Area).
