Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
01. Introduction
At Apercloud, committed to the security and privacy of our users, we have designed The Daily Clash to be a safe, fun, and respectful experience. This Privacy Policy transparently explains how data is collected, processed, and stored within the application and the platform.
02. Data We Collect
The Daily Clash primarily uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication. This means you can participate anonymously, and direct personal data such as your full name, address, phone number, or financial details will not be requested when using the app.
- User Identifier (UID): A random and unique alphanumeric identifier generated by Firebase Auth to securely associate your participation (votes, comments, and daily choices).
- User Pseudonyms: For debates in the discussion section, the system randomly assigns a fun and unique pseudonym (e.g., "CuriousWolf") to protect your personal identity.
- Voting and Activity Data: We register the option you voted for and the contributions you write in the comments in order to calculate voting percentages and show the corresponding discussions.
03. Use of Information
The information collected is used exclusively to:
- Maintain the correct operation of the real-time voting system.
- Prevent voting abuse (such as unauthorized multiple voting using scripts).
- Moderate comments and ensure a constructive and respectful debate environment.
- Provide technical support and resolve user queries received through our support email.
04. Third-Party Services
To provide the functionalities integrated into the application, we use trusted providers:
- Google Firebase: We use Firestore for the real-time database and Firebase Auth to maintain the user's anonymous session.
- Google AdMob: To finance the free development of the application, we display non-personalized advertisements. Rewarded ads can optionally be used to earn up to 5 extra votes per day.
- Translation Services (MyMemory API): Allows translating other users' comments into your selected language, processing the text snippet to be translated anonymously.
05. Your Rights (GDPR/ARCO)
According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), even if your profile is anonymous, you have the right to request the complete deletion of all your associated information at any time. You can exercise this right by writing an email to info@apercloud.es providing your session UID (available in the Settings section of the App).
